Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11009 — It is disliked to drink from the handle
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَا: «يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ أُذُنِ الْقَدَحِ، وَثَلَمَةِ الْقَدَحِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "It is disliked to drink from the handle of a cup and from its chipped part."
