حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ شَبِيبٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ الْعَسَّالُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَرْيَمَ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «سَافَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَصَامَ وَأَفْطَرَ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ صَامَ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَفْطَرَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) travelled in Ramadan, and he both fasted and broke his fast. So whoever wishes may fast, and whoever wishes may break the fast."
