Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10902 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْخُشَنِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَوْمِ أَضْحَى: «مَا عَمِلَ ابْنُ آدَمَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ، أَفْضَلَ مِنْ دَمٍ يُهَرَاقُ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَحِمًا مَقْطُوعَةً تُوصَلُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of Eid al-Adha: "Of all that the son of Adam does on this day, there is no deed better than shedding blood (in sacrifice), except that a severed tie of kinship be joined."
