حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ تَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَأُتِيَ بِصَحْفَةٍ فِيهَا لَحْمٌ وَخُبْزٌ، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution, then he went out for the prayer, and a large dish full of meat and bread was brought to him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it and did not perform ablution.
