حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): In the two Eids, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite Surah al-Fatihah and "Sabbih isma rabbika al-a'la" (Surah al-A'la) in the first rak'ah, and Surah al-Fatihah and "Hal ataka hadith al-ghashiyah" (Surah al-Ghashiyah) in the second rak'ah.
