حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، ثنا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي عَطَاءٍ قَالَ: «شَهِدْتُ وَفَاةَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِالطَّائِفِ، فَوَلِيَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا، وَأَدْخَلَهُ الْقَبْرَ مِنْ قِبَلِ رِجْلَيْهِ، وَضَرَبَ عَلَيْهِ فُسْطَاطًا»
Abu Hamzah Imran bin Abi Ata said: I was present at the death of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) in Ta'if. Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah took charge of his preparation for burial, said four takbirs over him, lowered him into the grave from the side of his feet, and pitched a tent over his grave.
