Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10373 — The Sunnah way of the ritual bath

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Sunnah way of the ritual bath (ghusl) for major impurity (janabah) is that you first wash both your hands until they are clean, then put your right hand into the vessel and pour water with your right hand onto your left hand and wash your private parts until they are clean, then strike your left hand on the wall or the ground and rub it, then pour water on it with your right hand and wash it, then perform ablution (wudu) like the ablution for prayer."
