حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْحَجَبِيُّ، وَبِلَالٌ، فَأَغْلَقَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ، فَمَكَثَ فِيهَا» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ: فَسَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا حِينَ خَرَجَ: مَاذَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: «جَعَلَ عَمُودًا عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَعَمُودَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَثَلَاثَةَ أَعْمِدَةٍ وَرَاءَهُ - وَكَانَ الْبَيْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى سِتَّةِ أَعْمِدَةٍ - ثُمَّ صَلَّى»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Usamah bin Zayd, Uthman bin Talhah al-Hajabi and Bilal entered the Ka'bah, closed it upon themselves and remained inside it. Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When they came out, I asked Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): What did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do? He said: "He (peace and blessings be upon him) kept one pillar to his left, two pillars to his right and three pillars behind him, (at that time the Ka'bah stood on six pillars), then he prayed."
