Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10340 — the Prophet ﷺ said: No one is more

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ؛ وَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهُ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ، وَمَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمِدْحَةُ مِنَ اللهِ؛ وَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهُ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ، وَلَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْعُذْرُ مِنَ اللهِ؛ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ اعْتَذَرَ إِلَى خَلْقِهِ، وَلَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْحَمْدُ مِنَ اللهِ؛ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ حَمِدَ نَفْسَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one is more jealous (ghayrah) than Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; that is why He has forbidden indecencies. No one loves praise more than Allah; that is why He praised Himself. No one loves excuses more than Allah; that is why He presented excuses to His creation. And no one loves praise (hamd) more than Allah; that is why He praised Himself."
