It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know who will be the last of the people of Paradise to enter it and the last of the people of Hell to come out of it? A man whom the Fire has scorched. His Lord will pass by him, and he will say: O Lord, take me out of this Fire to the shade of a tree. When he finds relief, he will look at the tree of Paradise and say: O Lord, (bring me there). So he will come out, though he has not enough deeds to carry him, and he will crawl until he reaches them, but he will find no place there. So he will return to his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, and say: O Lord, I did not find any place in it. Allah will say: Go, for you have the like of this world and ten times as much. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This one will have the smallest share among the people of Paradise. He will say: Why do You mock me, when You are my Lord?" The narrator said: (On hearing this) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed until his molar teeth and back teeth appeared.
