Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10282 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَشَلُّ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقَلِيبِ فَقَالَ: «يَا أَهْلَ الْقَلِيبِ، هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا؟ فَإِنِّي قَدْ وَجَدْتُ مَا وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي حَقًّا» ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَ؟ قَالَ: «مَا أَنْتُمْ بِأَسْمَعَ لِمَا أَقُولُ مِنْهُمْ، وَلَكِنَّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ لَا يُجِيبُونَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood by the people of the well (of Badr) and said: "O people of the well, have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? For I have found what my Lord promised me to be true." The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah, can they hear? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You do not hear what I am saying any better than they do, but today they cannot reply."
