حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ، ثنا أَبُو دُهْقَانَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، فَذَكَرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ بِلَالًا حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَهُ ضَيْفٌ، فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ بِطَعَامٍ، فَأَتَاهُ بِتَمْرٍ، فَأَعْجَبَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِكَ التَّمْرُ، فَقَالَ: «مِنْ أَيْنَ لَكَ هَذَا التَّمْرُ؟» فَقَالَ: أَبْدَلْتُ صَاعًا بِصَاعَيْنِ، فَقَالَ: «رُدَّ عَلَيْنَا تَمْرَنَا» فَرَدَّهُ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that a guest came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to bring food, and he brought dates. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) liked those dates very much, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where did you get these dates?" He replied: I exchanged them, giving two sa' for one sa'. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Return our dates to us," so he returned them.
