Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We have never heard anyone implore for his right as intensely as Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) implored on the day of Badr. He kept saying: "O Allah! I implore You for what You promised me. O Allah! If You destroy this band, You will not be worshipped." Then he turned, his face as though it were the moon, and said: "It is as though I am looking at the places where the enemy will fall this evening."
