Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10201 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: What

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَا الْغِنَى؟ قَالَ: «الْيَأْسُ مِمَّا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: What is richness (wealth)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To be free of need for what is in the hands of people."
