Abu al-Ahwas said: I asked Asim bin Abi al-Najud: O Abu Bakr, did you narrate, through Zirr bin Hubaysh, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The world will not come to an end until a man from my household becomes ruler whose name matches my name"? He replied: Yes, that is the narration.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the last era of this Ummah, a man from my household whose name matches my name will take charge of its affairs."
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The days will not come to an end until a man from my household becomes ruler whose name matches my name; he will fill the earth with justice and equity just as it will have been filled with oppression and tyranny."
