حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا أَبُو شِهَابٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكِنَانِيُّ، ثنا عَاصِمُ ابْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَمَلَكَ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if only one night remained of the world, a man from the household of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would become ruler in it."
