حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ الْخَزَّازُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، وَالْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّهَا سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيَخْنُقُونَهَا إِلَى شَرَقِ الْمَوْتَى، وَإِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْ حِمَارٍ، وَصَلَاةُ مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ بُدًّا، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْكُمْ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانَ فَلْيَجْعَلِ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا، وَاجْعَلُوا صَلَاتَكُمْ مَعَهُمْ سُبْحَةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon there will be rulers who will kill the prayer and keep it suppressed until near sunset; and it will be the prayer of one who is worse than a donkey, and the prayer of one who finds no other way out. So whoever of you reaches that time, let him offer the prayer at its proper time, and let him count the prayer offered with them as voluntary."
