حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حُجَيْرٍ الثَّعْلَبِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: «الْتَمِسُوهَا لَيْلَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ؛ فَإِنَّهَا صَبِيحَةُ يَوْمِ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Seek it (the Night of Decree) on the seventeenth night, for it is the morning of the Day of Criterion (Yawm al-Furqan), the day the two hosts met."
