حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ مُدْرِكِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ بِبِلَالٍ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ حِينَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ، قُلْتُ: مَا يَحْبِسُكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: «أَنْتَظِرُ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ»
Mudrik bin Awf said: I passed by Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was sitting at the time of the Fajr prayer. I asked: O Abu Abdullah! What is holding you back? He said: "I am waiting for the sun to rise."
