باب من روى عن ابن مسعود أنه لم يكن مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن

Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10054 — the Prophet ﷺ said: The Qur'an was

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُمَرِيُّ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، ثنا أَخِي، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Qur'an was revealed in seven harfs (modes of recitation)."
