حَدَّثَنَا كَنِيزٌ الْخَادِمُ الْمُعَدِّلُ الْفَقِيهُ مَوْلَى أَحْمَدَ بْنِ طُولُونَ ، بِمِصْرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأَ وَالنِّسْيَانَ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، إِلا بِشْرٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty has pardoned my Ummah for mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are compelled to do.”

«أجرجه ابن ماجه، الطلاق، باب طلاق المكره والناسي، حديث:2045، والحاكم:2 /198، وصححه علي شرط الشيخين، ووافقه الذهبي، وسنده صحيح، وللحديث شواهد كثيرة.»©Explanation:
This and the preceding hadiths have been mentioned so that it becomes clear that, in such a situation, divorce does not take effect according to the Shari‘ah.
The meaning of the hadith is that if someone is coerced or compelled in any way—whether through threats or intimidation—to pronounce divorce, then according to the Shari‘ah, that divorce will absolutely not take effect.
