حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا دُحَيْمٌ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الذِّمَارِيُّ ، وَأَبُو مُعَيْدٍ حَفْصُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "صَلاةٌ عَلَى إِثْرِ صَلاةٍ لا لَغْوَ بَيْنَهُمَا كِتَابٌ فِي عِلِّيِّينَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غَيْلانَ ، إِلا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili رضي الله عنه reports that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Performing one prayer after another prayer, when there is no idle talk between them, is recorded in 'Illiyyin."

1288. Commentary:
«عليين» is the place where the record books of the righteous are kept, and their deeds are entered therein. In contrast, for the disbelievers and the wicked, there is «سجين», as mentioned in Surah al-Mutaffifin.
