Mishkat al-Masabih 4772 — Permission for the name and kunya after
وَعَن مُحَمَّد بن الحنفيَّةِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وُلِدَ لِي بَعْدَكَ وَلَدٌ أُسَمِّيهِ بِاسْمِكَ وَأُكَنِّيهِ بِكُنْيَتِكَ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Muhammad bin Hanafiyyah narrates from his father, who said: I asked, O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, if a child is born to me after you, may I name him after you and give him your kunyah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." Its chain is Hasan. Narrated by Abu Dawood.
