Mishkat al-Masabih 3657 — The painful end of a habitual wine-drinker
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ إِنْ مَاتَ لقيَ اللَّهَ كعابِدِ وثن» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If one who is addicted to wine dies he will meet God most high in the same condition as an idolater.” Ahmad transmitted it.
