The Book of Pilgrimage Rites
(هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةُ ضُيُوفُ اللَّهِ)
(These three are the guests of Allah)
Mishkat al-Masabih 2537 — These three are the guests of Allah
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «وَفْدُ اللَّهِ ثَلَاثَةٌ الْغَازِي وَالْحَاجُّ وَالْمُعْتَمِرُ» . رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان
He said that he heard God’s messenger say, “Those who visit God are three classes:The warrior, the one who performs the hajj, and the one who performs the ‘umra.” Nasa’i and Baihaqi, in Shu'ab al-iman, transmitted it.
