وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ بُوعِدَ مِنَ النَّارِ مَسِيرَةَ مِائَةِ عَامٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts one day in the path of Allah for the sake of His pleasure will be kept away from the Fire of Hell by the distance of a hundred years' journey."
