حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : مَا مِنْ صَبَاحٍ إِلَّا وَمُنَادٍ يُنَادِي مِنَ السَّمَاءِ : اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ كُلَّ مُنْفِقٍ خَلَفًا ، وَكُلَّ مُمْسِكٍ تَلَفًا ، يَا بَاغِيَ الْخَيْرِ ، هَلُمَّ أَقْبِلْ ، وَيَا بَاغِيَ الشَّرِّ أَقْصِرْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no morning except that a caller calls out from the heaven: 'Allahumma a'ti kulla munfiqin khalafan, wa kulla mumsikin talafan', meaning: 'O Allah, give everyone who spends (in the way of Allah) a good replacement, and give everyone who holds back (wealth) ruin and loss.' (And he also says:) O seeker of good, come forward and turn towards it; and O seeker of evil, stop now and desist."
