It is narrated from Ali bin al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade "harvesting crops at night and plucking dates (from the trees) at night."
Imam Ahmad bin Mani' and al-Harith have also narrated this report with their chains through Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq, his father Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, and his grandfather Ali bin al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him).
