وَقَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : أَوْصَى أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - : إِذَا أَنَا مُتُّ ، فَلَا تَضْرِبُوا عَلَيَّ فُسْطَاطًا ، وَلَا تَتْبَعُونِي بِنَارٍ ، وَأَسْرِعُوا بِي .
It is narrated from Abd al-Rahman, the freed slave of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) made this bequest (at the time of his death): "When I die, do not pitch any tent or canopy over me (my bier or grave), do not follow my funeral with fire, and hasten in carrying me (to the graveyard)."
