قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبَانَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : مَنْ مَاتَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وُقِيَ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies on the day of Friday is protected from the punishment of the grave."
The chain of this hadith contains Yazid bin Aban al-Raqashi, a da'if (weak) narrator, because of whom this chain is weak; however, on the basis of other supporting reports, some hadith scholars have graded narrations with this meaning as hasan (good).
