وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا قَاسِمُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : لَقَدِ اسْتَجَنَّ جُنَّةً حَصِينَةً مَنْ سَلَفَ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْأَوْلَادِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the person whose three children have died (before puberty) in the state of Islam and gone ahead of him (to the Hereafter) has taken refuge (from the fire of Hell) behind a strong and impregnable shield."
