وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " السِّوَاكُ مَطْهَرَةٌ لِلْفَمِ ، مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ " .
67 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، قَالَ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ - بِهَذَا . قَالَ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى : هُوَ خَطَأٌ ، وَالصَّوَابُ : عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا .
67 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، قَالَ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ - بِهَذَا . قَالَ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى : هُوَ خَطَأٌ ، وَالصَّوَابُ : عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The siwak is a means of cleansing and purifying the mouth and a cause of attaining the pleasure and good will of the Lord." Imam Abu Ya'la also narrated this hadith through another route, in which the narrator Abd al-A'la bin Hammad clarified that a narrator slipped in the first chain, and that the correct position is that this narration is reported through Ibn Abi Atiq from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
