قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَزْرَقُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، ثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، ثَنَا يُوسُفُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : لَمَّا أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَدْرٍ مِنَ الْغَدِ أَحْيَا تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ كُلَّهَا ، وَهُوَ مُسَافِرٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the morning at Badr, (it became known that) he (peace and blessings be upon him) had kept that entire night alive by staying awake (in worship and devotion), while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a state of travel at that time."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
