قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابٌ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ ، ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَاضِعًا يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى يُشِيرُ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكِ .
Asim bin Kulayb narrates from his father (Kulayb bin Shihab), from his grandfather (Sayyiduna Shihab bin Majnun, may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: I entered the mosque while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was seated in prayer (in the tashahhud). He (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his right hand on his right thigh and was pointing with his index finger, and with his blessed tongue he (peace and blessings be upon him) was making this plea: 'Ya muqallib al-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik' (O Turner of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion).
Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili recorded this hadith in his Musnad, and all the narrators of its chain are thiqat (trustworthy) and reliable, on which basis this report is sahih (authentic) and reliable.
