قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَانْتَصَبْتُ عَلَى صُدُورِ قَدَمَيَّ وَرُكْبَتَيَّ ، فَضَرَبَ فَخِذِي حَتَّى اطْمَأْنَنْتُ .

It is narrated from Sa'id al-Maqburi that he said: "I prayed beside Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), and (during the prayer) I raised myself up stiffly on the fronts of my feet and on my knees (that is, I put my weight on them and stiffened unnaturally), so he struck my thigh with his hand until I (corrected my posture and) settled into a state of calm and repose."
