It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, on the Day of Resurrection the sweat will bridle the disbeliever (i.e. reach his mouth and leave him helpless), so that he will say (out of intense agony): 'Arihni wa law ila al-nar' (Give me relief (from this state), even if I am sent to the Fire)."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad. Its chain contains Sharik bin Abdullah al-Qadi, who is open to criticism on account of his memory; however, other authentic narrations support this meaning.
