وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتِ : ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ مَسْرُورًا ، أَعْوَرَ ، مَخْتُونًا .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said about Ibn Sayyad: "Ibn Sayyad's mother gave birth to him in such a state that his umbilical cord had been cut from birth, he was blind in one eye, and he had been (naturally) circumcised."
Imam Ahmad bin Mani' narrated this hadith in his Musnad, and all its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy) and reliable.
