حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، ثَنَا رَيْحَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، ثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَيُدْرِكَنَّ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ ، وَلَيَشْهَدُنَّ قِتَالَ الدَّجَّالِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some people of my Ummah will certainly live to see the time of Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him), and they will certainly take part in the battle against the Dajjal."
This report was recorded by Imam al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak 'ala al-Sahihayn (no: 4506); al-Hakim declared it sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but al-Dhahabi objected to it on account of the weakness of its narrator Abbad bin Mansur. However, the subject of the descent of Isa (peace be upon him) and his fighting the Dajjal is established by other sahih reports.
