قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَاتَلَ خُزَيْمَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، الَّذِي يُدْعَى : ذُو الشَّهَادَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ .
It is narrated from Imam al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), who is called by the honoured title "Dhu al-Shahadatayn" (the one of two testimonies), fought alongside Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) at the Battle of Siffin and engaged in combat against the enemy on his side.
