وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، ثَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ : أُمِرْتُ بِقَتْلِ النَّاكِثِينَ ، وَالْقَاسِطِينَ ، وَالْمَارِقِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him); (the narrator said:) I heard him say: "I have been commanded to fight those who break the pledge (Nakithin), those who adopt oppression and transgression (Qasitin), and those who pass out of the religion (Mariqin)."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this report in his Musnad; its chain contains narrators such as al-Khalil bin Murrah and al-Qasim bin Sulayman whom the hadith scholars have criticised, on account of which it is da'if (weak) in its chain, though its meaning is also reported in other narrations (athar).
