قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : قُلْتُ لِأَبِي أُسَامَةَ : أَحَدَّثَكُمُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : جَعَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ خَمْسَ فِتَنٍ : فِتْنَةٌ خَاصَّةٌ ، ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ عَامَّةٌ ، ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ خَاصَّةٌ ، ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ عَامَّةٌ ، ثُمَّ تَجِيءُ فِتْنَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ مُظْلِمَةٌ ، فَيَصِيرُ النَّاسُ فِيهَا كَالْبَهَائِمِ ، فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ وَقَالَ : نَعَمْ .
وَرَدَ بَيْنَ هَذَا الْقِسْمِ وَالْقِسْمِ الْآتِي فِي جَمِيعِ النُّسَخِ مَا يَأْتِي :
وَرَدَ بَيْنَ هَذَا الْقِسْمِ وَالْقِسْمِ الْآتِي فِي جَمِيعِ النُّسَخِ مَا يَأْتِي :
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has decreed five fitnahs in this Ummah: (first) a particular fitnah, then a general fitnah, then a particular fitnah, then a general fitnah, and then a pitch-black, dark fitnah will appear in which people will become like cattle (devoid of reason and discernment)." Imam Ishaq bin Rahwayh says: I asked Abu Usamah: Did Imam al-A'mash narrate this hadith to you from Mundhir al-Thawri and Asim bin Damrah, from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)? He affirmed it and said: "Yes (that is correct)."
