وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُبْتَغَى الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي كَمَا تُبْتَغَى الضَّالَّةُ فَلَا يُوجَدُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until a man from among my Companions is sought (in pursuit of knowledge and guidance) the way a lost thing is eagerly searched for, but he will not be found (because they will have departed from the world)."
