قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - أَوْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : صَوْتُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي الْجَيْشِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ رَجُلٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) or Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The voice of Abu Talhah ((may Allah be pleased with him)) in the army is better than a thousand men (in their strength and battle cry)."
This hadith indicates the extraordinary bravery and high rank of Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him): on the battlefield a single battle cry of his proved more effective and beneficial than the combined strength of a thousand soldiers.
