: وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا قَطَنُ بْنُ نُسَيْرٍ ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَلٌ مَشْوِيٌّ بِخُبْزَةٍ وَظَبَابَةٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اللَّهُمَّ ائْتِنِي بِأَحَبِّ خَلْقِكَ إِلَيْكَ يَأْكُلُ مَعِي مِنْ هَذَا الطَّعَامِ . فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا : اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ أَبِي ، وَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا : اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ أَبِي ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : فَقُلْتُ : اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعْتُ حَرَكَةً بِالْبَابِ فَخَرَجْتُ فَإِذَا عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَاجَةٍ ، فَانْصَرَفَ ، ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُ حَرَكَةَ الْبَابِ فَخَرَجْتُ فَإِذَا عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَذَلِكَ ، فَسَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَوْتَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " انْظُرْ مَنْ هَذَا ؟ " فَخَرَجْتُ فَإِذَا عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَجِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ وَالِيَّ ، اللَّهُمَّ وَالِيَّ .
3935 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْكَحَّالُ الْأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَطْيَارٌ ، فَقَسَّمَهَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُنَّ ، فَأَصَابَ كُلَّ امْرَأَةٍ ... الْحَدِيثَ .
3935 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْكَحَّالُ الْأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَطْيَارٌ ، فَقَسَّمَهَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُنَّ ، فَأَصَابَ كُلَّ امْرَأَةٍ ... الْحَدِيثَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a roasted partridge, bread and a little fat were presented as a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entreated Allah: "O Allah! Send to me the one from Your creation who is most beloved to You, so that he may eat this food with me." Hearing this, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) supplicated: "O Allah! Make him my father (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him))." And Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O Allah! Make him my father (Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him))." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said (in my heart): "O Allah! Make him Sa'd bin Ubadah." Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Then I sensed someone's footsteps at the door; I went out and there was Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). I said (to put him off) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was occupied with some need or task at that time, so he went back. Then I heard footsteps at the door again and went out, and again it was Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) (and I repeated the same thing). Meanwhile the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) heard his voice and asked: "Look and see who this is." I went out and it was Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). I came and informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) of his arrival, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to express mutual love and closeness): "O Allah! (He is) my closest companion. O Allah! (He is) my wali (friend)."
And Imam al-Bazzar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said that some birds were presented as a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed them among his pure wives (may Allah be pleased with them), so that each wife received (one bird each) (and what follows is the full hadith with the previous meaning).
