[ وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ ] : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا [سَعْدٍ] الْخَطْمِيَّ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا يُحَدِّثُ : ( أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِهِ وَبِجَابِرٍ - أَوْ جَبَّارِ - ابْنِ صَخْرٍ ، فَأَقَامَهُمَا خَلْفَهُ ) .
أَصْلُهُ فِي مُسْلِمٍ ، فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا السِّيَاقِ .
أَصْلُهُ فِي مُسْلِمٍ ، فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا السِّيَاقِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that "the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led him (that is, Sayyiduna Jabir) and Jabir (or, the narrator was unsure, Jabbar) bin Sakhr in prayer, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) made both of them stand behind him (in the prayer with him)."
The basis of this hadith is in Sahih Muslim, in a long hadith narrated through al-Walid bin Ubadah from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), though there its context differs from this (present) narration.
