: وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّ مِنْ أَقْضَى أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ابْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ .
3924 \ 2 - : وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ السَّكَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بِهِ .
وَصَحَّحَهُ الْحَاكِمُ .
3924 \ 2 - : وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ السَّكَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بِهِ .
وَصَحَّحَهُ الْحَاكِمُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "We used to mention among ourselves that the one with the greatest power of judgement and the best judge among the people of Madinah was Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him)."
Imam al-Bazzar also recorded this narration through the route of Muhammad bin Ahmad bin al-Junayd, Yahya bin Muhammad bin al-Sakan and Shu'bah, and Imam al-Hakim declared it sahih (authentic).
