It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "If even a single camel were to die neglected within my domain and during my caliphate, I fear greatly that Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, would call me to account for it."
[Takhrij: Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this report in al-Musannaf (34509); its chain is munqati' (broken) because Imam al-Hasan al-Basri did not hear from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).]
