It is narrated from Abu Harun al-Madani (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Ubayy ibn Salul (may Allah be pleased with him) said to his father: "By Allah, you will never be able to enter Madinah until you (admit) this: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is the most honourable, and I am the most humiliated and disgraced." The narrator says: Then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, it has reached me that you intend to kill my father. By the One who sent you with the truth, out of awe of him I have never to this day looked fully at his face; but if you wish that I myself cut off his head and bring it to you, I will certainly do so, for I strongly dislike seeing the killer of my father (alive)."
Imam al-Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sufyan bin Uyaynah narrated to us; Abu Harun al-Madani reported this narration to him.
