It is narrated from Abu al-Aliyah (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite the saying of Allah Almighty: And look at the bones, how We raise them up (nunshizuha) [Surah al-Baqarah: 259] in such a way that he pronounced the letter "za" in the word "nunshizuha" with a dot (that is, he pronounced it with the dotted "za" instead of the undotted letter "ra").
[Takhrij: Imam Abu Ubayd al-Qasim bin Sallam recorded it in Fada'il al-Qur'an (512), and its chain is sahih (authentic).]
