It is narrated from al-Fadl bin Atiyyah that he said: "They (the Children of Israel) wandered and roamed lost for forty years (in the Valley of Tih) within an area of twelve farsakhs, and a stone like the head of a bull was placed among them; whenever they camped, twelve springs would gush forth from that stone."
Yazid bin Harun transmitted this report from al-Fadl bin Atiyyah.
